Flyby 1.2.2 — Light Direction
Oh...hi Mark. Don't mind us; just landing for a quick update. If you're curious...
New
- Light Direction: the Sun tab now maps where the sun rises and sets over your spot, and which way to face for the best light. Works offline, too.
- Ideas in My Places: suggestions for where to fly next, picked from your own places when the forecast looks good. Tap one to open it.
- iPhone Duo Support: unfold it, and every tab, the map, and Settings make use of the bigger screen.
- Field View: stand your Duo half-open and Flyby shows your Fly Score, wind, and the next sunrise or sunset in big type. The screen stays awake while it’s up.
Improved
- Simpler Locales: the options menu is gone. Edit now lives in the header, and you can save where you are right from your location’s card.
- Fresh Look: the screens for adding an aircraft, planning a flight, and logging a flight now match the rest of Flyby. When you add an aircraft, you can pick any of Flyby’s 3D models for it.
- Side-by-Side Details: on iPhone Duo, details open next to what you’re looking at instead of covering it.
- Now on Today: the hour you’re in is labeled “Now,” so it’s easy to spot.
- Smoother Sun: tapping Now on the Sun tab glides the sun back instead of jumping.
Fixed
- Saving your current location in Locales sometimes saved a different place.
- Plan no longer says a day is over your limits when its only good hours are after dark.
- Your location’s coordinates no longer show up twice in its details.
That's all for now! We'll fly back around soon. Happy flying!
